Yongqiang Che—solo performer
A young and national second-level Sheng performer, director of Sheng Professional Committee under China Nationalities Orchestra Society, wrapped up in music since childhood, enlightened by the associate professor Yue Hua’en from the National Music Department of Xi'an Conservatory of Music. He was admitted into Xi'an Conservatory of Music in 1996 and coached by Sheng performing artist Zhao Hongbin. Then he worked as a principal Sheng performer in Guangdong Nationalities Orchestra in 2002 and has attended various concerts when touring with his group, including large national concerts in 2005 and 2008 hosted by his own group—Lingnan Variation and Elegant Cantonese Melodies in which he won the second and first prizes in the tenth Guangdong Arts Festival Performing. He toured to Beijing with his group in 2006 and his solo performance in The Fourth Beijing International Modern Music Festival earned a good reputation for him. He also gave performances in Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Macau along with his group. In 2008, he toured to German, Switzerland, Belgium, Czekh and Austria, totaling 8 cities. His performce in The Gloden Hall of Vienna received compliments from its conductor. Che has remarkable basic skills and all-round techniques. He’s got natual and delicate style, which is emotional and expressive.
